A new year and a new name!

After a highly successful term which saw the Training Band perform twice in St. Michael’s church and also have the opportunity to attend a day’s Brass Tactics course, they start 2016 with a new name. As from January the Training Band will be known as the Aldbourne Youth Band and the Beginner Band will be called the Junior Band. The New Year’s rehearsals will start on January 12th when the Youth band will be preparing for their appearance as guests of the Aldbourne Band at the Immanuel Church concert in Upham Road, Swindon. This is a longstanding event for the Band who has been playing concerts at Immanuel since 1963 and it is a great honour to be invited to share the evening.
